What is Laser Treatment?
A Laser Treatment involves use of specialized Laser beams, the intensity and type of which varies with the person and the area of the body concerned. The Laser treatments are mostly concerned with the following body parts:
- Laser Hair Removal: for both men and women, commonly called as Laser Hair Removal (though it actually is Laser Hair Reduction), the process involves targeting hair follicles by a laser beam to reduce hair growth. To know more about the procedure, click here

For skin care in specific, Lasers are effective in scar removal, in enhancing the effect of chemical peels and in skin lightening treatments. Though avoided for the sensitive skin types, Lasers are known to give the best results among all the possible procedures for the aforementioned categories
Treatment Pre Care Instructions (for Skin Laser Treatments)
- Avoid use of warm water on the skin
- Always apply Moisturiser and Sunscreen before going out, the specification for the same should be as prescribed by the doctor
- Stop using night creams at least 2 days before the procedure or as instructed by the doctor
- Avoid swimming from 2 days prior to the procedure
- Avoid workout 1 day before the procedure
- Avoid parlor activities from 5 days prior to the procedure (Bleaching, waxing, threading).
- Avoid Laser treatment on the areas to be treated from 15 days prior to the procedure or as suggested by the doctor
Treatment Post Care Instructions (for Skin Laser Treatments)
- Avoid excessive sweating, swimming, sauna etc 2-5 days post the treatment
- Avoid wearing tight fit clothes for 2-3 days post laser hair removal
- Keep your skin hydrated, apply adequate amount of moisturiser to ensure that your skin doesn’t dry up
- Avoid parlor activities for 2 weeks post the procedure
Treatment Pre Care Instructions (For Laser Hair Reduction)
- Avoid parlor activities a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks prior to the procedure (Bleaching, waxing, threading)
- Refrain from any parlor activity during your treatments, if u wish to undergo any, make sure that you inform your treating doctor in order to check its feasibility
- If you have recently undergone a skin tan procedure, make sure that you inform the doctor prior to the treatment
Treatment Post Care Instructions (For Laser Hair Reduction)
- Avoid waxing or shaving in between sessions on the areas to be treated
- Avoid excessive sweating, swimming, sauna etc. for 2 to 5 days post the treatment
- Avoid tight fit clothes for a minimum of 2 to 3 days post laser hair removal
- Keep your skin hydrated, apply adequate amount of moisturiser to ensure that your skin doesn’t dry up
- To see best results please stick to the time duration between 2 sessions as suggested by the doctor.
